GG logo roughs

I got a quick job designing a custom logo for a US client that wanted a design that incorporated “G&G inc” and “est.2013”

Its purpose to to commemorate his upcoming marriage and was going to be used as an emblem for the occasion. It was planning to be used on invites, napkins, goody bags, that kinda thing.

I asked what genre or style he envisioned, e.g. corporate, web2.0, so he responded with “Americana.” That was pretty much all he gave me to go on besides the requirement that it be in black and white.

So, I sat down and put together several rough designs for him to choose from, then I would go back and tighten-up and expand on the one he chose. These are the roughs I sent.
